Acclimatization Day: Date- 29-03-08

Acclimatization Day was organized to familiarize the child with the school and the parents could also meet their child’s teacher. The children were welcomed by the ‘Mickey Mouse’ gifting balloons to them.
Children spend sometime with their teachers. There was a magic show arranged for our little ones beside other attractions like bouncee, ball’spool, dance floor. Children busied themselves in the bounties offered while their parents interacted with their child’s teacher.
The event served to cement the partnership between school & home to give ‘our child’ a blossoming personality and make this journey of school exciting & fruitful.


Grand Parent’s Day : Date- 12-09-08, Friday

  1. Special Assembly - Skit presentation by teachers on loving, caring, respecting our grand parent.
  2. A pair of grand parents from each child were invited to come to school for narrating a story to the child.

Jungle Jamboree

Grand Parents Day

This event was organized to acquaint the play school in the vicinity with our teaching methodology of providing real life experiences. The aquarium, the jungle & the artic regions set up in the school premises infact exciting with real visual & sound effect. As many as 35 schools had visited Indraprastha World.




Fancy Dress Competition

Fancy dress competition based on helpers was organized in the school. Children came dressed up as different community helpers. Children confidently enacted on the stage with their props. The Significance of the competition is make them aware of community helpers.


Gurupurab Celebration

Gurupurab Celebration

Gurupurab celebration was conducted in the school. Children were dressed up as Panch Pyare & chanted the first pauri of Japaji Sahib & Karah Prasad was distributed amongst the kids. The significance of the celebration was to acquint the children with the life of Gurunanak Devji.




Annual Day : Cindrella Ballet

The little ones of Indraprastha World took the audiences down the memory lanes of their childhood. Their dances, costume & backdrop sets transcended every enlivened the fantasies of fairy tales on stage. Chief Guest Shri Puran Chand honoured the occasion by his benign presence & also presented the pre- school with medals for successfully completing the session.


Children’s Day Celebration.

A special assembly was held to celebrate the birth day of Jawahar Lal Nehru. The children were acquainted with the significance of the celebration. The teachers danced with the children and fun and frolic activities were organized.


Graduation Day : 9- 03-09 - Symphony of Rhythms

All the children of Pre-Primary presented various dance forms of India & World. The globe seemed to have descended on the stage.
The Japanese, Arabian, hip-hop, Bhangra, Himachali & Rajasthan enthralled the out lookers


Excursion –Doll’s Museum : 24-04-09

Doll’s Museum Doll’s Museum

Little ones of Pre-Primary section went to Shankar’s International Doll’s museum, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. Children were excited to see the collection of so many costume dolls from other countries of the World as well as authentive Indian costume dolls depicting their physical attributes, dress & jewellery.



Baisakhi celebration




Children came dressed up in traditional Punjabi dresses and danced to the beat of Punjabi music. The lively music reverberating enthused the little ones who swayed to the rhythm of the festival.




Role play Activity



Children came dressed up as any fruit / vegetable and spoke a few lines about the same. The activity was organized to reinforce the concept of fruit/ vegetables as well as install a confidence in each child to speak to an audience without any hesitation.

Clay Modeling competition



It aids in the development of fine motor skills as well as enhances creativity in the little ones. An interclass clay modeling competition was also organized where the marvels of creativity of the tiny –tots had to seen to be believed.

Oral Hygiene day

Children had got toothbrush from home for the brushing activity in the school.
Dental check-up was conducted by Dr. Ashu Grover & Dr.Loveleen. the significance of oral hygiene was explained to the children.
Children enjoyed brushing their and recited the rhyme ‘ Brush your Teeth’.


Christmas Celebration

Children were taken outdoors to Japanese park for the celebration of Christmas. Children sang carols and Santa Claus distributed goodies to the little ones.


Independence Day Celebration


A special assembly was conducted wherein our respected Principal hoisted the flag which was followed by the National Anthem.
Montessori Children performed on the song ‘I love my India’. Patriotic song was sung by the children. The aim behind the celebration was to inculcate the love and respect for the country. Children had made badges of Indian Flag by pasting tri color paper.Children had got tri-color food items from home.

Janmashtmi Celebration



A special assembly was held to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna. There was a scintillating performance by the Montessori on the song ‘Kisna Hai’.
Live tableaus depicting the life of Lord Krishna were put up.Children enthusiastically visited the tableaus.
Craft samples of Head bands were given to children.

Excursion


An excursion to Indian Air force museum was organized for the Montessori Children. The education trip comprised of boarding an aircraft and visiting the rock –pit. The students were shown old vintage air crafts, uniforms of air force personals, war weapons and historic air crafts used in Indo –Pak war 1971.

The children were also informed about the historical prospective of Aviation Industry. The children were delighted and happy to visit the museum and enjoyed themselves.

Orientation Session

The orientation session was held for parents of children newly admitted to school especially at the pre-school level. An exciting & highly informative session on parenting was conducted by our Director-Principal Sir Dr. Rajesh Hassija which was followed by Dr. Aroona Broota a renowned child psychologist. Their useful tips made the voyage of parenting seem easier.


SPORTS DAY

We believe that sports is the key to physical fitness. The Montessori sections of Indraprastha participated in the different races like collect your bag, hurdle race, collect the chair, joker race, burst the balloon, cap race, flag race, animal hood race, etc… Pre-School children had a march pat dressed in tri colour of our national flag.
Pre- primary children presented different dances dressed up as symbols of country.

Diwali Celebration



Children were told about the significance of the diwali celebration and they had a number of creative activities like rangoli making, diya and candle decoration, card making.



Lohri and Makarsakranti Celebration





The children came dressed up in colorful traditional dresses and they danced to the beats of dhol. They were also about these harvest festivals.




Van Mahotsav Celebration

Van mahotsav was celebrated on 10-july-09’. It was a concluding day of the week on “awareness of environment conservation”. A special assembly was conducted where children presented a colourful rhyme dramatization sensitizing everyone about animal and plant conservation. At the end of the dayeach child carried home sapling of a tree. Children were told to plant and take care of it.


Dance competition






To encourage children dance competition was held in the school.







General check – up by a Paedratecian

Dr. Lalit Mohan Kaushik conducted a general Medical check-up of all children of Pre primary and Pre-school. The written report was sent home indicating any general.
