Indraprastha World School organised Symposia – 2009 an inter-school confluence for students of classes IX and XI on Tuesday, December 22, 2009.
A peek preview into the life of Nelson Mandela – the African Hero, Poster Making and Jagriti – a seminar on Drug awareness – all events were aimed at generating awareness as well as sensitizing our youth about issues of global concern, thus educating them for life.
Students of class XI of Indraprastha shared their first hand experiences of visiting and interacting with de-addicts at Sai Sahara, Santulan and Asharya Rehabilitation Centres and took the initiative of organizing this seminar to generate awareness amongst their peers.
This occasion was graced by the benign presence of Sh. K.S.M. Subudhi, SHO, West Delhi, Dr. Gurmukh Singh, the Managing Director, Ashray Rehabilitation Centre, Delhi and Smt. Seema Aggarwal, Reader, Miranda House. The event received overwhelming participation of more than 20 prominent schools of Delhi who were highly appreciable of the unique concept.
